Job description for Finance & Accounting Associate at SURA
SURA is a growing technology-enabled dairy company building a more efficient, transparent, and modern dairy ecosystem in Indonesia. We combine farming operations, technology, data, and strong operational execution to improve productivity and build a scalable dairy business. As we continue to grow, we are strengthening our internal finance function to support better financial control, reporting, and decision-making across the business.
We are looking for a Finance & Accounting Associate with 1–3 years of experience who is ready to take ownership of day-to-day finance activities while helping build a stronger and more structured finance function as the company grows.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, hands-on, comfortable working independently, and looking for broader exposure beyond routine bookkeeping.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and manage customer invoices
- Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and financial transaction recording
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Perform regular bank reconciliations
- Support monthly closing and basic financial reporting
- Handle tax administration, including PPh 21, PPh 23, VAT / e-Faktur, withholding tax documents, and other related tax administration
- Track budget vs. actual spending and highlight significant variances
- Maintain proper documentation for invoices, payments, contracts, and other financial records
- Ensure financial records are organized and audit-ready
- Support audits and coordinate with external tax or accounting consultants when needed
- Help improve finance processes, reporting, and internal controls as the company grows
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related role
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles and Indonesian taxation
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and/or Google Sheets
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Organized and able to manage deadlines independently
- Proactive and comfortable identifying discrepancies or raising issues when something does not look right
- Experience with accounting software is a plus.
Working Arrangement
- Hybrid — mostly remote.
- Most day-to-day work can be done remotely, with occasional in-person meetings in Jakarta or South Tangerang as needed.
