Job description for Finance Accounting Project at Recovered Indonesia

Finance & Accounting Officer (Project-Based)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, preferably in NGO, non-profit organizations, or donor-funded projects.
  • Experience managing project finances funded by international donors (e.g., UNDP, AEPW, USAID, GIZ, DFAT, EU, etc.) is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, budget monitoring, financial reporting, cash flow management, and bank reconciliation.
  • Familiar with donor compliance requirements, financial policies, procurement procedures, and audit processes.
  • Experience preparing financial reports, supporting schedules, and documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Good knowledge of Indonesian taxation (VAT, Withholding Tax/PPh 21, PPh 23, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF functions, and financial data analysis)
  • Experience using accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., Accurate, Jurnal, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet strict reporting deadlines.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
  • Willing to work in a hybrid or remote project environment and travel to project locations when required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in project financial close-out and donor financial reporting.
  • Experience supporting donor audits and financial compliance reviews.
  • Knowledge of grant management and cost allocation principles.
  • Experience working in multi-project or multi-donor environments.
