Job description for Field Engineer at BNET Academy
BNET is looking for a Field Engineer Staff with hands-on experience in internet installation and troubleshooting to help deliver reliable services to our customers.
Key responsibilities
• Install, activate, and maintain fiber optic and wireless internet connections.
• Conduct site surveys and check installation requirements.
• Troubleshoot connection issues, identify the cause, and coordinate with the Network Engineer team when further support is needed.
• Configure customer equipment and verify service performance before handover.
• Follow safety procedures and keep installations neat and properly documented.
• Prepare work reports, including test results, photos, equipment used, and outstanding issues.
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams throughout installation and repair work.
Requirements
• Min 1 year of experienceas a Field Engineer, ISP Technician, or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with fiber optic or wireless installation and troubleshooting.
• Familiar with basic networking, IP addressing, routers, access points, and customer premises equipment.
• Able to use relevant installation and testing tools; experience with fiber splicing, optical power meters, or OTDR is an advantage.
• Responsible, safety-conscious, and comfortable working outdoors and at heights.
• Willing to work in Karawang and mobile to customer sites.
