Job description for FASHION DESIGNER at Lee Vierra
Main Job :
- Design seasonal collections, moodboards, color palettes, and stories that align with brand identity and target market needs.
- Produce sketches, technical drawings, prints, and comprehensive tech packs, including the selection of fabrics, trims, and colors.
- Analyze global and local fashion trends, competitor movements, and customer behavior to design commercially viable products.
- Proactively source new materials, test innovative production techniques, lead sample development, and optimize garment fit, comfort, and construction.
- Partner with merchandising, production, and suppliers to ensure production feasibility and target margins, coordinate with marketing and retail teams for campaign launches and customer insights.
- Monitor post launch product performance (best sellers and underperforming items) to balance creative concepts with profitability and sell through goals.
Qualifications :
- Background 2-3 years in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator (and related design software) with a strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and production processes.
- Highly commercial with a solid understanding of customer behavior and market trends.
- Well organized, detail oriented, and capable of managing tight production timelines.
- Prior experience in kidswear, activewear, swimwear, or the retail industry is highly advantageous.
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills in product development.
