Job description for Fashion Designer Intern at Heart Troops
Heart Troops is a growing modest fashion brand dedicated to creating thoughtfully crafted pieces based in Jakarta.
We are looking for a Fashion Designer Intern to join our Product Development (Creative) team. In this role, you will support the end-to-end product development process, from trend research and concept creation to sample development and collection execution. This internship is ideal for individuals who are passionate about fashion design, eager to learn in a fast-paced environment, and excited to contribute ideas while building products that align with the brand’s vision.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing product concepts, moodboards, color directions, and collection ideas aligned with brand identity and customer needs.
- Create design sketches, technical drawings, and presentation materials to support product development.
- Support the development of artworks, prints, graphics, and other visual elements for products when needed.
- Conduct trend, competitor, and customer research relevant to the fashion and modest wear industry.
- Assist in sourcing and selecting fabrics, trims, colors, and materials based on design requirements.Support sample development, fitting sessions, and product review processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, marketing, content, and merchandising to support product launches.
- Help organize and maintain design files, references, and product development documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality of all product development and design-related information.
Qualifications:
- Final-year student or Fresh Graduate from Fashion Design, Fashion Business, Textile Design, or a related field.
- Strong interest in fashion design, product development, and fashion industry in general.
- Basic proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, or similar tools.
- Able to create fashion sketches, moodboards, and visual presentations.
- Strong attention to detail
- Growth-oriented mindset with willingness to learn, test, and improve continuously
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Available for 3 - 6 months internship and willing to work full WFO (Monday–Friday).
