Job Description
As Factory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Solo garment factory, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and efficiency objectives are achieved. You will lead a team of approximately 100 sewing operators, along with cutting, bundling, and quality control teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Factory Operations
Manage the day-to-day factory operations to ensure on-time production and delivery.
Ensure production plans are executed according to priorities and quality standards.
Monitor workforce attendance, discipline, safety, and overall productivity.
Coordinate cutting, bundling, sewing, QC, and finishing processes to maintain smooth production flow.
- Productivity & Process Improvement
Improve sewing efficiency and optimize workforce performance.
Analyze productivity gaps and implement corrective actions.
Develop and implement operator allocation systems based on skill level and garment complexity.
Introduce and monitor time-tracking and productivity measurement tools.
Establish efficient production methods, including line production for basic styles where applicable.
Monitor and reduce rework, rejects, and material losses.
- People Management
Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, team leaders, and production teams.
Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of sewing operators.
Collaborate with training teams to continuously improve sewing techniques and product quality.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with PPIC to manage capacity planning, production loading, and delivery commitments.
Partner with QA/QC teams to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with product development and industrialization teams regarding standard times, costing, and new style introductions.

Defect and reject rates
Material utilization and loss reduction

Workforce planning versus production requirements
Job Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in garment manufacturing.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Factory Manager, Production Manager, or equivalent leadership role.
Strong knowledge of garment production processes, including cutting, sewing, finishing, and quality control.
Proven experience leading large production teams and driving operational improvements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and production reporting.
Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and working-level English.
Experience in women's fashion, premium garments, dresses, or delicate fabrics is highly preferred.
Familiarity with both line production systems and full-garment (make-through) sewing systems is an advantage.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, productivity improvement initiatives, and piece-rate systems is a plus.
Based in Solo or willing to relocate.
