Managing Documentation
- Check and prepare shipping documents like commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
- Handle customs declarations such as PIB (Pemberitahuan Impor Barang) for imports and PEB (Pemberitahuan Ekspor Barang) for exports.
- Process certificates of origin (COO), insurance papers, and import/export licenses
Customs and Compliance
- Calculate import duties, taxes, and tariffs
- Coordinate duty payments and resolve clearance issues with customs officers.
Logistics Coordination
- Contact freight forwarders, shipping lines, and airlines to book cargo space.
- Track shipments to make sure goods arrive on time.
- Solve problems if cargo is delayed, damaged, or held up at the port
Communication and Admin
- Update shipping data using tools like Microsoft Excel or SAP.
- File and organize all trade records neatly for audits.
