Job description for English Trainer / English Teacher at AT Istitute of Language
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior English Teacher to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality English instruction, developing learning materials, and guiding students to achieve their academic and professional language goals.
Responsibilities :
- Instruction & Classroom Management: Plan, prepare, and deliver interactive and student-centered English lessons for various proficiency levels (kids, teens, and adults).
- Curriculum & Content Development: Design engaging lesson plans, supplementary learning materials, worksheets, and visual aids to enhance the learning experience.
- Assessment & Progress Tracking: Evaluate student performance through regular assignments, quizzes, and mock tests, providing constructive feedback to track improvement.
- Academic Events & Activities: Participate in organizing academic events, student competitions (such as Spelling Bee or Storytelling contests), and cultural/language workshops.
- Experience in conducting specialized preparation courses for standardized English proficiency tests (IELTS, TOEFL, SAT) is a strong plus / preferred.
- Administrative Support: Maintain accurate attendance records, grade books, and student progress reports in a timely manner.
Qualifications :
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in English Education, English Literature, Linguistics, or a related field.
- High official test scores preferred (e.g., IELTS ≥ 6.0, TOEFL iBT ≥ 95, or TOEFL ITP ≥ 600).
- Certifications: TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification (minimum 120 hours) is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in a language institute, private school, or formal education setting is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in using digital design tools (e.g., Canva) to create visual teaching aids and worksheets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, high adaptability, enthusiasm for education, and excellent classroom management abilities.
