Job description for English Teacher (Part-Time) at PT. Maha Mera Grup
Mahamera Education Center is a One Stop Learning Solution in Balikpapan, providing educational and skills development programs for students of all learning levels. One of our core programs, Mahamera English Club, is designed to develop students’ English proficiency through grammar, vocabulary, and practical communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging regular classes and after-school programs for English learning.
- Develop and deliver interactive lessons covering Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing, Grammar, and Vocabulary.
- Design interactive activities such as games, group discussions, role plays, presentations, and project-based learning.
- Adapt teaching methods to students’ proficiency levels, learning needs, and learning styles.
- Prepare learning materials, exercises, assessments, and classroom activities.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress while providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with the academic team to continuously improve the Mahamera English Club program.
- Maintain a positive, supportive, and student-centered learning environment.
Requirements
Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree (S1), preferably in English Education, English Literature, or a related field.
- Strong command of spoken and written English with good pronunciation and grammar skills.
- Ability to create an interactive, engaging, and student-centered classroom.
- Creative in utilizing learning media, educational games, and classroom technology.
- Excellent communication skills, patient, responsible, and professional.
- Willing to teach on-site at Mahamera Education Center, Balikpapan.
Nice-to-Have / Value-Add:
- Previous experience as an English Teacher, Tutor, or After-School Instructor.
- Background in English competitions, speech, debate, storytelling, or English Olympiads.
- Official English proficiency certifications (TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, Cambridge, etc.).
- Experience teaching conversational or practical speaking skills.
