Job description for Engineering (Ubud Area) at Betterplace Property Management
Role Summary:
The Engineering is responsible for performing a wide range of minor repair, maintenance, and preventative tasks to ensure the upkeep and safety of properties. This role includes both proactive and reactive maintenance duties such as minor plumbing, electrical repairs, general repairs of fixtures, and ensuring external areas are safe. The Handyman works under the direction of the Engineering Team Supervisor and assists in maintaining the properties in good working order, providing essential support in both repair tasks and general upkeep.
Job Responsibilities:
- Undertake minor repairs to property fixtures and fittings, including desks, tables, chairs, doors, and windows to maintain the overall condition and functionality of the property.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate.
- Assist with minor plumbing repairs, such as unblocking sinks, drains, and addressing minor leaks.
- Conduct minor electrical repairs, including fixing lighting fixtures, replacing bulbs, and performing routine electrical checks as needed.
- Proactively inspect the property for maintenance issues and address them in a timely manner to prevent damage or safety hazards.
- Maintain electrical equipment by conducting regular inspections and making minor repairs when necessary.
- Ensure the work area is cleaned after maintenance or repair tasks are completed, leaving the space tidy and ready for guest or staff use.
- Report all completed tasks and outstanding issues to the Engineering Team Supervisor, providing updates on the status of repair work.
Qualifications:
- Experience in general maintenance or handyman services, with a broad skill set in plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to property maintenance.
- Practical skills in handling tools, equipment, and minor repair tasks.
- Familiarity with Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and minor electrical work.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot potential issues before they become major problems.
- Organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently and ensure work areas are kept clean and safe.
- Willing to be placed in Ubud Area (Bali)
