Job Description:
As the Engineering Leader at Khastana Luxury Villas Ubud, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the maintenance and operations of our villa/resort facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage the engineering team in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Management -
- Lead and supervise the engineering team, including technicians, mechanics, and maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Establish and communicate clear goals, expectations, and performance standards for the engineering department, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Facility Maintenance and Repairs -
- Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to ensure the ongoing upkeep and longevity of villa/resort facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Oversee routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks, addressing issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, renovations, and equipment servicing as needed.
- Safety and Compliance -
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards, conducting regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards or violations.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures for the engineering team, providing training and resources to promote a safe working environment.
- Energy and Sustainability Initiatives -
- Identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and sustainability initiatives, such as renewable energy integration, waste reduction, and water conservation measures.
- Collaborate with other departments to implement environmentally friendly practices and promote eco-friendly initiatives throughout the property.
- Budgeting and Resource Management -
- Develop and manage the engineering department budget, allocating resources effectively to support ongoing maintenance, repairs, and capital projects.
- Monitor expenses and track spending against budgetary targets, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum holds diplomacy in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in engineering or facilities management, with a focus on villas or resort properties.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical knowledge of building systems, utilities, and equipment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
- Proficiency in budgeting, project management, and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
