Job description for Electrical Engineer at PT Megadaya Tangguh

Electrical Engineer

PT Space Technology Group (PT Megadaya Tangguh) is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to join our team and contribute to engineering, manufacturing, and installation projects, particularly in industrial and power plant sectors.

Job Description

Design electrical systems including Single Line Diagrams (SLD), wiring diagrams, layouts, and engineering calculations.
Perform electrical system analyses such as short-circuit, load flow, grounding, and harmonic studies.
Prepare technical project documents including technical specifications, BOQ, 2D/3D drawings, and tender documents.
Supervise installation of cables, panels, and protection & control systems in accordance with IEC, IEEE, and PUIL standards.
Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and power plant operations.
Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, subcontractors, and related parties to ensure project execution meets targets.
Ensure compliance with HSE standards and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable university (mechanical engineering knowledge is an advantage).
Minimum 2–5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in industrial, manufacturing, EPC, or power plant projects (fresh graduates with strong technical exposure are welcome to apply).
Strong knowledge of power systems, electrical control systems, instrumentation, and basic electrical theory.
Proven experience in preparing Single Line Diagrams (SLD), wiring diagrams, electrical layouts, and technical calculations.
Hands-on experience in electrical installation, including cable tray, power & control cabling, panels (LV/MV), grounding, and protection systems.
Ability to perform and understand electrical system studies such as short circuit, load flow, grounding, and harmonic analysis.
Familiar with PLC basic, control panels, and field instrumentation.
Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD 2D, SketchUp 3D, and MS Project (experience with similar tools is a plus).
Good understanding of power plant operations (PLTU, PLTG, PLTS) and industrial electrical systems.
Strong knowledge of applicable standards and regulations (IEC, IEEE, PUIL, and HSE/K3).
Experienced in site inspection, installation supervision, testing, and commissioning activities.
Able to coordinate effectively with internal teams, vendors, subcontractors, and external consultants.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; ability to communicate in English (spoken and written) is an advantage.
Willing to work on-site, travel to project locations, and work under tight schedules and pressure.
