Job description for Electrical Engineer (English speaker) at PT Inno Prima Material
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for routine inspections, maintenance, and emergency repairs of the factory's high- and low-voltage power distribution systems, transformers, air compressors, cooling units, production line motors, inverters, and PLC control panels to ensure an uninterrupted power supply for production.
- Perform electrical modifications for production line equipment, including cable routing, connections and adjustments, new machine power installation, and operational acceptance testing.
- Develop scheduled maintenance plans (monthly/quarterly/annually) for electrical equipment; maintain checklists, repair logs, and spare parts consumption records; and manage the inventory of electrical spare parts.
- Rapidly address electrical issues—such as short circuits, power outages, motor burnouts, sensor failures, and communication disruptions—to minimize production losses.
- Coordinate with external utility companies and maintenance vendors regarding repair schedules during power outages, power capacity upgrades, and cabling repairs; enforce factory electrical safety standards to prevent risks of electric shock and fires caused by short circuits.
- Supervise the team of electricians, standardize cabling installations, and conduct workshop electrical safety training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Automation, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering; possession of a low/high-voltage electrician certification is a priority; practical experience in a manufacturing plant.
- Capable of reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; proficient in using multimeters, megohmmeters (meggers), oscilloscopes, and clamp meters; skilled in basic adjustments for inverters, contactors, relays, and servo motors.
- Understanding of PLC fundamentals (Mitsubishi/Siemens); able to read simple programs, troubleshoot signal points, and modify basic touchscreen parameters (preferred).
- Willing to work shifts and handle emergency repairs outside of standard working hours; hardworking with strong practical skills; work experience in Indonesian factories or foreign manufacturing companies is an advantage.
- Proficient in managing factory electrical panel rooms.
