Job description for Electrical Drafter at PT Patria Menara Abadi
Education: A minimum of a Diploma or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD 2D.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a drafter.
Qualification:
• Preparing complete drawings, charts and diagrams of moderate complexity (drawings include design features that require considerable drafting skills to visualize and portray)
• Working from sketches, verbal instructions and observations, incumbents will use computer assisted drafting (CAD) software to layout equipment and facilities, revise existing drawings, prepare preliminary drawings, check dimension of parts
• Develop CAD drawings, edit specifications and process construction shop drawings for lighting, small power systems, fire alarm systems, conduit runs, etc
• Produce designs and drawings for electrical systems, motor control centre schematic diagrams, interconnection diagrams, cable schedules, single line diagrams, general arrangement drawings and grounding/earthing, lighting/services designs, and lightning protection
• Preparing finished working drawings in accordance with design data
• Work closely with senior design engineers to develop electrical drawings using AutoCAD or MicroStation
• Collaborate with electrical engineer, lead engineer, and project managers, to develop electrical system plans and specifications
• Review and analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and other documentation to ensure that designs meet standards and regulations
• Modify and revise designs based on feedback from engineers and other team members
• Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings consisting of standard arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, from rough sketches and/or from general
engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures
• Read and understand orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
