Job description for Drafter Furniture at Predmet Construction
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Train and supervise a junior technical drafting team
- Supervise, develop and prepare manufacturing drawings based on the Designer's 3D rendering concepts, specifications and other data
- Supervise and prepare assembly instructions and layout drawings
- Oversee and prepare material requirements for purchasing using Microsoft Excel
- Work in conjunction with the Senior Project Manager and Production Department with documentation/engineering and product issues in the factory
- Have strong team-oriented skills with the ability to also work independently and meet deadlines
SKILLS
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD
- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles
- Ability to think in terms of manufacturable products
- Experience in the furniture industry is a strong advantage
