Job description for DevOps Engineer at PT KOLEGA TEKNOLOGI INDONESIA
Job description
Own the path from code to a reliable running system. This is not a “just configure CI/CD” role. You will help KOLARIS build sane environments, deployment practices, monitoring, backup, security hygiene, and incident response while the company is still small.
Job requirements
- Strong Linux, networking, HTTP/DNS, process, filesystem, permissions, and troubleshooting fundamentals.
- Hands-on with Docker and comfortable reasoning about containers, images, volumes, networks, secrets, and logs.
- Understands CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, environment separation, and safe deployment / rollback concepts.
- Familiar with web servers / reverse proxies, databases, cloud or VPS environments, and observability concepts.
- Understands backup, restore, access control, secrets management, and basic production security hygiene.
- Production experience is valuable, but a strong candidate can also prove readiness through serious projects, labs, or take-home work.
- Can remain structured during incidents and communicate clearly instead of panicking or hiding uncertainty.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain development, staging, and production deployment workflows.
- Own CI/CD quality: build, test, deploy, rollback, and release visibility.
- Own production availability and work toward maximum practical uptime.
- Choose, implement, and continuously improve a deployment strategy you can defend — such as blue-green, rolling, canary, or another appropriate approach — to minimize downtime and enable safe rollback.
- Implement monitoring, logs, uptime checks, alerting, and sensible incident escalation.
- Maintain server / cloud configuration, networking, SSL, DNS, secrets, and access controls.
- Design and test backup and recovery procedures instead of assuming backups work.
- Investigate reliability and performance issues across application and infrastructure layers.
- Document runbooks and progressively automate repetitive operational work.
