Devops Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for automating and streamlining our operations and processes, building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations, and troubleshooting and resolving issues across the development and production environments. The DevOps Engineer will work closely with development, operations, and IT teams to ensure efficient and continuous delivery of high-quality software.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff members to manage code releases and deployments.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.) and maintain a scalable, secure, and reliable system.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Monitor system performance and resolve issues by analyzing logs, databases, and infrastructure performance.
• Build and maintain internal tools for managing system configurations, environments, and deployments.
• Ensure system security and compliance through automation and by following industry standards.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and post-mortem processes.
• Work with development teams to enhance application and system performance and reliability.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support when necessary for critical incidents.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Strong proficiency with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Shell.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker, and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Experience in setting up and managing monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios.
• Strong understanding of networking and security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with microservices architectures and managing related deployment strategies.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and caching solutions (Redis, Memcached).
• Knowledge of serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (ELK Stack, Splunk, Datadog).
• Certifications in DevOps, AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes.
