Job description for Database Vulnerability Management at PT Cywa Informatika Algoritma
As a Database Vulnerability Management, you will support the identification, analysis, and mitigation of security vulnerabilities within database environments. This role focuses on assisting vulnerability assessments, remediation tracking, and ensuring database security aligns with established security standards and best practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform patching, security updates, and configuration management for databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB).
- Troubleshoot post-patch issues related to performance, connectivity, query execution, and service availability.
- Stop/start database service, mirroring.
- Conduct routine database security scans, and compliance validation.
- Implement hardening procedures aligned with CIS benchmark (DB level).
- Collaborate with Application Teams, Infrastructure, and Coordinators to schedule maintenance windows.
- Ensure patching meets internal SLA.
- Monitor performance post-remediation and adjust parameters when needed.
- Validate back-up completion for DB workloads (Veeam / DB-native backup).
- Coordinate snapshot creation before applying DB patches.
- Support rollback using backup/snapshot when patch failure occurs.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Bachelor’s in IT/Computer Science/Information Systems.
- 1–3 years experience in DBA, DB security, or related role.
- Hands-on experience managing relational databases (Oracle/MSSQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with NoSQL (MongoDB) preferred.
- Understanding of DB backup, recovery, patching, hardening, and tuning.
- Good troubleshooting & performance analysis skills.
- Willing to work in shift schedules and standby.
- Understanding of OS & networking fundamentals.
