Job description for Data Scientist at PT. Ebdesk Teknologi
Responsibilities:
- Gather and preprocess large datasets from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Utilize statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques to extract insights and patterns from data.
- Develop predictive models and algorithms to solve specific business problems, and evaluate their performance using appropriate metrics.
- Communicate findings effectively through data visualization techniques, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, engineers, and analysts, to understand requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science techniques, tools, and technologies, and apply them to improve existing processes and solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python, along with experience in using libraries/frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, Bayesian inference, and time series forecasting.
- Experience in ETL
- Hands-on experience with various machine learning algorithms and techniques, such as supervised/unsupervised learning, classification, regression, clustering, dimensionality reduction, and time series forecasting models.
- Proficiency in developing and evaluating time series forecasting models, such as ARIMA, exponential smoothing methods, Prophet, or LSTM networks, to predict future trends and patterns in data.
- Familiarity with data visualization libraries/tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, ggplot2, or Tableau for creating meaningful visualizations.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, as well as experience with querying and manipulating data using SQL.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.
- Preferebly have a good understanding of Business Intelligence
