Job description for Data Engineer at PT Asa Ren Global Nusantara
Job Descriptions :
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines and storage solutions.
- Develop and maintain data models for databases, data warehouses, and other data storage systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
- Build and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into a centralized data repository, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Manage and optimize databases for performance, scalability, and reliability. This may involve working with relational databases, NoSQL databases, and distributed data storage systems.
- Implement data processing solutions for real-time and batch processing, including technologies like Apache Spark, Apache Flink, and Hadoop.
- Implement and enforce data quality standards, data governance policies, and security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide the necessary infrastructure and tools for analytics and reporting.
- Optimize data infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness, ensuring that systems can handle growing volumes of data.
- Document data engineering processes, data models, and infrastructure to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure a clear understanding of the data architecture.
- Implement monitoring solutions to track the health and performance of data pipelines and proactively address any issues that may arise.
- Work with software developers and data scientists to integrate data engineering solutions with existing systems and applications.
Requirements :
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in database management systems, data modeling, and SQL (Structured Query Language).
- Proficiency in Python, Java or Scala programming languages.
- Familiarity with big data technologies is often required. This may include knowledge of tools and frameworks like Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and others. Courses or self-learning in these technologies can be beneficial.
- Knowledge of ETL tools like Apache NiFi, Talend, or Informatica may be advantageous.
- Familiarity with data warehouse platforms like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
- Having knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts and analytics tools may be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skill
