About the Role
We are seeking a diligent Data Center Operations Engineer to ensure the stability, security, and performance of our core infrastructure. In this role, you will act as the first line of defense, maintaining high system availability through continuous monitoring, proactive health checks, and rapid incident response.
Key Responsibilities
Continuous Monitoring: Actively monitor data center infrastructure, network performance, and critical systems using standard monitoring tools.
Incident Triage & Ticketing: Perform first-line troubleshooting, validate system alarms, and ensure accurate ticket creation and logging within the ITSM platform.
Health Checks: Conduct routine system health checks and facility inspections to identify potential issues before they impact operations.
Runbook Execution: Execute documented recovery actions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to resolve known infrastructure alerts.
Escalation Management: Provide timely and detailed escalations to Tier 2/Tier 3 specialist teams for complex, unresolved incidents.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date shift handover logs, incident reports, and operational documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC), IT Service Desk, or Infrastructure Operations environment.
Technical Fundamentals: Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and fundamental networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
Tools: Practical experience with ITSM ticketing systems and enterprise monitoring solutions.
Operational Discipline: Proven ability to adhere strictly to runbooks, accurately document actions, and maintain high discipline during shifting schedules.
Language capability: Professional working proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is required for cross-team communication and technical documentation.
Availability: Must be able to work an 8x5 rotating shift schedule that includes day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
