Job description for Data Base Administrator (NoSQL) at Reka Wawasan Integra
We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and scale our data infrastructure. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of both our relational (RDBMS) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance, optimize complex queries, and manage indexing and execution plans to ensure maximum uptime and speed.
Security & Compliance: Implement robust security measures, manage user access permissions, and ensure data encryption and compliance with privacy regulations.
Backup & Recovery: Develop, test, and implement bulletproof backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Scalability: Manage database migrations, replication, and sharding/partitioning strategies to support our growing data needs.
Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers and DevOps teams to design efficient schemas and integrate databases with application workflows.
What We’re Looking For (Requirements):
Experience: We are hiring for L1 and L2 positions, so fresh graduates are welcome to apply. For L2 1+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar data engineering/infrastructure role.
Database Expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL RDBMS and/or NoSQL environments. (Familiarity with NoSQL is highly preferred).
Skills: * Deep understanding of database design, normalization, and ACID properties vs. BASE properties.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
