Job description for Data Analyst at Travelio
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to derive actionable insights and make data-driven recommendations.
- Develop and maintain efficient and accurate SQL queries to extract data from various databases, including Google BigQuery, for analysis purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data analysis deliverables.
- Create and present clear and concise reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Looker Data Studio (previously Google Data Studio) to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data sets and proactively investigate and resolve data quality issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Proven work experience as a Data Analyst, preferably 2 years, with a track record of successfully delivering data analysis projects.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries and optimize query performance.
- Experience working with Google BigQuery and Looker Data Studio (previously Google Data Studio) or similar tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Expertise in Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to dive deep into data, identify patterns, and generate meaningful insights.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to independently investigate and resolve data-related issues.
- Good communication skills with the ability to translate complex data findings into easily understandable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets while maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
