What You Will Be Doing
This is a varied, entry level position for someone who would like exposure to a start-up environment and has a heart to create impact while doing work of excellence. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to a fast paced start-up environment, engage in cutting-edge research, and be a part of an exciting design thinking process for our products. By working with us, you are given the chance to engage in meaningful work that will empower parents and caregivers to impact the lives of many children globally (with focus on China).
Position Summary
We are looking for a research assistant to support ongoing research projects related to the clinical validation in China of a first-of-its-kind evaluation tool. The position would be ideal for someone looking to gain experience with biostatistics and clinical research and working with top-tier hospitals and clinicians. The responsibilities potentially include:
  •  Reviewing clinical and statistics literature to support the study design
  •  Coordinate the execution and data collection process of the project
  •  Implementation of data analysis
  •  Interfacing with various collaborators, both within the company and with the hospital
About You
You should be bright, enthusiastic and a team player in either your 3rd or 4th year of your undergraduate degree or in a graduate program. We expect you to have a good ability to juggle workloads, meet deadlines, and have good attention to detail. Being great at researching and writing, teachable, resourceful and flexible are key traits.
Must Haves
•  Fluent in Mandarin Chinese & English
  •  Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Familiar with 
      Internet applications. 
  •  Adept in programming in R, Stata, Python, and/or SAS
  •  Experience/familiarity with implementing statistical analysis
  •  Ability to work independently and remotely
Preferred Experiences: Statistics; biostatistics; epidemiology; data science
Preferred Interests: Health, Child development, Early-childhood education, Business Administration, Linguistics, Rehab therapy
Internship/Practicum Details: Flexible location: our offices are in Beijing, Taipei, and Silicon Valley. Remote interns will be considered. Unpaid but a basic stipend will be provided. Minimum 10-15 hours a week to be considered (hours and schedule are negotiable). 
A letter of recommendation can be requested upon satisfactory completion of internship/practicum
