JALA is looking for a Data Analyst Intern who will analyze and evaluate the shrimp cultivation process through data, also support related team to do data collection, processing, and reporting. The candidate must be familiar with data mining and data modelling, also able to collect and process data from any resource using SQL, R/Python or other scripting and statistics tools.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Process and analyze cultivation data and other supporting data to generate actionable insights.
- Assist in preparing routine reports related to application performance metrics and cultivation performance.
- Support the Data Team in translating business requirements into data specifications, metrics, and measurement definitions.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of existing dashboards and visualizations according to user needs.
- Coordinate with the Technology Team in data exploration activities to support internal discovery processes.
- Prepare documentation for datasets, analysis methodologies, and assumptions used in each analysis.
- Carry out ad-hoc analytical tasks and other relevant duties under the supervision of the Lead Data.
Skills & Capabilities
- Final-year students or fresh graduates from a relevant major.
- Willing to commit to a minimum 6-month internship and work on-site.
- Understanding of descriptive statistics and ability to perform exploratory data analysis (EDA).
- Experience in preparing data analysis reports (academic projects or internships).
- Able to perform basic data extraction and manipulation using SQL, conduct basic data analysis with Python, use spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets), and familiar with BI tools for visualization.
- Understanding of application metrics (e.g., Registered Users, MAU, Retention) and how they are calculated.
- Strong curiosity to explore root causes and identify the best solutions.
- Knowledge of cultivation data is a plus.
- Experience using Google BigQuery is a plus.
