Job description for Data Analyst & AI Automations — Intern at Talenesia

Job Purpose

The Data Analyst & AI Automations Intern will work directly with the C-level team, this person will own and drive data, systems, AI, and automation initiatives across Talenesia & Biznesia — from structuring and analyzing business data, to building reliable systems and integrations, automating workflows, developing dashboards and reporting, and applying AI where it can meaningfully improve how the business operates.

This is not a support or admin role. This is not an administrative or support role. This is an opportunity to sharpen your technical and problem solving skill, understand business problems, work with data to identify what matters, translate needs into practical systems and solutions, and drive projects through to completion — while also being hands-on enough to build, test, debug, and improve solutions themselves, with technical guidance from our C-level.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Leadership

  • Monitor the implementation and deliverables timeline of the project
  • Partner with the management to set weekly priorities, review output quality, unblock issues, and surface risks before they become delays.
  • Set up lightweight project management practices — timelines, check-ins, documentation — so initiatives stop stalling for lack of ownership.
  • Report progress and blockers directly to the management with clear, data-backed updates.

2. Data Architecture & Systems

  • Collaborate with the Chief Learning Officer to design data structure, flows, and standards — and continuously improve data models, integrations, and workflows for accuracy, scalability, and long-term operational effectiveness.
  • Build and iterate Google Workspace–based systems (Sheets, Forms, dashboards, automation) to support efficient learning operations and monitoring.
  • Design and maintain the integration layer that ensures data that ensures the inter-operability of data across all dashboards and platform.

3. Data Operations

  • Own, validate, and maintain student, class, internship, payment, and learning progress data — ensuring accuracy and readiness for operations, reporting, and cross-function handovers.
  • Own Finance AR data integrity: maintain the master reconciliation system, ensure learning-related AR reflects current student and payment status, and provide actionable insights for KSDK financial tracking.
  • Own HR payroll data accuracy: maintain and cross-check educator attendance, delivered sessions, schedules, and fee calculations so payroll runs on reliable data.
  • Own Admissions data end-to-end: manage and validate the full pipeline from leads and enrollments through to cohort assignment and learning readiness, ensuring clean handover into learning operations.

4. Building, Systems, Automation & Reporting

  • Build, test, debug, and ship data systems, integrations, dashboards, reporting, and automations using tools such as Google Apps Script, BigQuery, and AI-assisted coding tools.
  • Analyze business data and develop reliable dashboards and reporting that turn data into actionable insights for management.
  • Identify manual, repetitive, or error-prone processes and build practical solutions that make them more efficient, reliable, and scalable.

Job Qualifications

Must-haves

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, from a reputable university.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.40 / 4.00 (or equivalent).
  • Have experience in conducting a project where the candidate utilize their coding skills (can be a university, student competition, or social project)
  • Demonstrated, active leadership in a student organization, competition team, or startup — e.g., organization chair, founding team member, project/team lead. This is non-negotiable: this role leads people and projects, not just tasks.
  • Hands-on experience building with AI tools — Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT/API-based workflows, or no-code automation (Zapier, Make, n8n) — with a personal project or portfolio to show for it.
  • Comfortable working with data: BigQuery or advanced spreadsheets at minimum
  • Fast, structured, and logical thinker who self-directs without hand-holding, catches their own mistakes, and is willing to challenge ideas with reasoning rather than just executing instructions.
  • Available for a 6-month internship with the maturity to work closely with senior stakeholders and multiple counterparts independently.
  • Proven project management ability: experience planning, tracking, and delivering multi-step projects to deadline (organization programs, competitions, client work, or personal ventures). High sense of ownership over outcomes — proactively communicates, surfaces risks early, and has the confidence and persistence to keep timelines on track through consistent follow-through. Familiarity with tools like Notion, Trello, Asana, or similar is a plus.
  • Able to translate ambiguous business problems into structured requirements, practical solutions, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the maturity and confidence to work directly with C-level stakeholders,

    Nice-to-haves
  • Experience with Google Apps Script, Python, APIs, or other tools for building data systems and integrations.
  • Experience building dashboards, reporting systems, or automated workflows.
