Responsibilities
- Assist chefs in food preparation and cooking processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
- Follow health and safety regulations while working in the kitchen.
- Help in receiving and storing food deliveries accurately.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
- Support in plating and serving dishes to ensure presentation quality.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from chefs and kitchen staff.
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as necessary.
