Job description for CV Engineer Intern at Reality Detector

Come join Reality Detector (“RD”) by Seer – Seer’s “Sensors enhance senses” and is an AI startup seed funded by Tim Draper and Draper Associates. Its vision is to enable emotionally intelligent machines and a more perceptive future. Enhancing the discernment of intention, emotion, cognition and action is its purpose. Building the best truth detector to clear the pure, making more trust more worthy is its current mission. Our initial product market fit is in creating cutting-edge technology to enhance travel across borders and protect innocents from harmful lies. The CV Engineer Intern will be working in a small team including data scientists,  psychologists and software developers to develop the subsequent versions of our computer vision software, with a focus on thermography.
Responsibilities
● Develop the beta version of our computer vision software by working closely with a small team including data scientists and software developers from diverse backgrounds.
● Develop backend computer vision modules based on physiological/behavioural baselines and deviations.
● Work with video/imaging data to develop and train Machine Learning models.
● Ensure algorithms are robust and work with a wide variety of subjects.
● Read papers to find latest work on CV for estimating human physiological responses
● Provide assistance on technical documentation, paper publishing and patent filing
Qualifications
● Good with reading papers and implementing them using Python
● Research & Development of ML models for estimating human physiological responses.
● Training, debugging and improving of ML models
● Familiar with Opencv, Pytorch, Tensorflow etc.
● Proven experience in software development in a test-driven environment, building performance-tuned modules ready for integration
● Knowledge of computer vision, for example: feature localization, optical flow, filter banks, signal processing, face detection, creating novel algorithms from the ground up is preferred.
● Experience working with Imaging and Videos.
