Job Overview:
As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive patient experience. You will be responsible for handling patient inquiries, managing appointments, and supporting administrative tasks in the clinic. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction: Greet and assist patients in-person and over the phone with professionalism and warmth.
Appointment Scheduling: Manage the clinic’s appointment system, scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming patient appointments.
Answering Inquiries: Respond to patient questions about services, insurance coverage, payment plans, and other general information.
Insurance Verification: Assist with verifying patient insurance coverage and eligibility before appointments.
Billing and Payments: Support patients with billing inquiries and process payments, including co-pays and outstanding balances.
Data Entry: Accurately enter and update patient information in the clinic’s management system.
Patient Follow-up: Make reminder calls for upcoming appointments, and follow up on treatment plans as necessary.
Collaboration: Work closely with dental staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and seamless communication.
Problem Solving: Address patient concerns or escalate them to the appropriate team members when needed.
Office Support: Assist with various administrative tasks as required, including filing, inventory management, and ordering office supplies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
Previous experience in customer service or a dental/medical office environment preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment.
Proficiency in using computer systems, including appointment scheduling software and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes is a plus.
A friendly, positive attitude with a commitment to delivering excellent patient care.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
