Creative Producer / Director (Live Broadcast)
Tesseract is a creative broadcast and event production company based in Indonesia. We produce live esports tournaments, sports broadcasts, and large-scale branded events for publishers, IP owners, and brands across the region.
The Role
You own the show creative — and you sit at the desk when it goes live. As Creative Producer, you design the show (format, rundown, segments, visual language, talent moments) in pre-production, then run it from the producer's chair during broadcast, making sure the show plays out exactly as designed. You work hand-in-hand with the Technical Director, who handles the switching — your job is the show itself: flow, timing, creative calls, and keeping everything on plan.
On smaller productions, you're expected to step into the director's chair and call the cameras yourself when required.
What You'll Do
1. Creative (pre-production)
- Develop show concepts, formats, and creative treatments for live esports and sports broadcasts
- Build detailed rundowns, segment structures, and show flows aligned with client briefs
- Define the creative language of the broadcast: opening sequences, transitions, stingers, talent segments, stage/screen integration
- Collaborate with graphics, stage design, and content teams to translate concepts into broadcast-ready assets
- Present and defend creative concepts in client pitches
2. Live (show day)
- Run the show from the producer's desk: own the rundown, timing, and segment flow in real time
- Cue talent, VT rolls, graphics moments, and creative beats — keeping the show on plan and on time
- Work alongside the Technical Director (who switches cameras) as the creative authority in the control room
- Adapt the rundown live when things change — delays, schedule shifts, client requests — without losing the show
- Direct smaller productions yourself when a dedicated director isn't assigned: calling cameras and cuts directly
- Run rehearsals and run-throughs; debrief post-show and drive improvements across productions
3. What We're Looking For
- 2+ years in live broadcast production (esports, sports, TV, or large-scale live events)
- Proven experience producing live shows from the desk, owning rundowns and show flow in real time
- Able to call cameras and direct a multi-cam show independently when needed
- Fluent in broadcast workflow: rundowns, comms discipline, coordination with TD, graphics, audio, and replay
- Strong creative instincts — you can pitch a show concept, not just execute one
- Calm and decisive under live pressure; clear communicator on comms
- Comfortable with irregular hours, weekend shows, and travel to venues
- Bahasa Indonesia and English proficiency
4. Bonus:
- Both esports and traditional sports broadcast experience
- Familiarity with broadcast tools : vMix, Blackmagic Design Switcher, Ross Video.
