Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable university in Food Technology, Food Science, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Food Developer, Food R&D, Product Development, or a similar role within the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry.
- Proven experience in developing food products from concept, product trials, and standardization through to commercialization.
- Strong knowledge of Research & Development (R&D), recipe standardization, food costing, food safety, HACCP/GMP, and quality control.
- Up-to-date with culinary industry trends and capable of developing innovative, competitive products that meet market demands.
- Experience in product analysis, sensory evaluation, and continuous improvement to enhance product quality.
- Strong analytical, creative, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- A proven portfolio or track record of successfully developing and commercializing F&B products will be considered an advantage.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct research and develop new food products aligned with the company's concept, brand identity, and market demands.
- Develop, test, and refine recipes to ensure products are high-quality, consistent, and ready for commercialization.
- Establish and maintain recipe standardization, product specifications, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure product consistency across all outlets.
- Calculate and optimize food costs and raw material utilization while maintaining product quality.
- Conduct product trials, quality evaluations, sensory testing, and continuous improvement based on testing results and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with the Operations, Purchasing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance teams throughout the product development and product launch process.
- Conduct market research on industry trends, competitors, and consumer preferences to drive product innovation and maintain market competitiveness.
- Ensure all products comply with food safety standards, quality requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of launched products and provide recommendations for product improvements or future development.
- Identify and evaluate raw materials and suppliers to support the development of high-quality, cost-effective, and innovative products.
