About the role
Looking for a role where you can gain valuable and relevant writing experience? The freedom to flex your creative muscles, think out of the box, and write kick-ass content for various channels? As a Content Writer (Intern), you live and breathe all things content. No character count limit scares you, no message is too difficult to craft beautifully, and you obsess over how every word fulfils a singular purpose – to keep your reader reading.
You will play a key role in building the content roadmap, with an eye on how it drives traffic and assist conversions while repurposing it for other channels.
Job description
Note: Please attach a writing portfolio or sample that demonstrates your capabilities as described in the job description below – ideally it should consist of a mix of long-form, medium form, and short-form writing.
Assist in developing the Editorial calendar by researching and planning content to address audience needs (SEO, social listening & user research tools)
Identify and develop content that will rank in SERP
Write copies across various mediums platforms to drive traffic and assist conversion (blogs, articles, whitepapers, eBooks, website etc.)
Repurpose and refresh existing content
Learn how to obsess over metrics (including but not limited to traffic, keyword growth, first page rankings, SERP, and page views) and improve them over time.
Skills & Competencies:
A passion for content creation, writing, and storytelling
Good sense of media consumption habits of an average consumer
Able to work in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple projects
A self-starter, proactive with a hands-on approach
Able to empathise with customers/readers
A keen eye for detail
Knowledge of SEO, copywriting, and long-form digital article writing styles would be ideal
Currently pursuing a degree in Mass Communications, Linguistics, or any related course of studies.
