JOB DESCRIPTION — COMMIS
Responsibilities:
- Assist the kitchen team with daily food preparation and mise en place.
- Prepare ingredients according to the recipes and instructions provided by the Chef.
- Assist in cooking and plating as assigned.
- Maintain the quality, freshness, and presentation of food according to company standards.
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and handling of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation, kitchen equipment, and utensils.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and kitchen SOPs at all times.
- Assist the kitchen team during preparation and service.
- Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
- Report any shortage, spoilage, or damaged ingredients to the responsible Chef.
- Support the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and other kitchen team members as required.

We are looking for a Commis to join our kitchen team.
Requirements:
Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred.
Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
Willing to learn and develop culinary skills.
Able to work well in a team.
Responsible, disciplined, hardworking, and punctual.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness.
Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
