Job description for Civil Engineer – Head of Inspection & QA/QC (Residential) at PT Inspeksi Rumah Indonesia

This is a managerial role leading a team of field inspectors in residential building inspection. We are looking for experienced civil engineering professionals, not entry-level candidates.
Qualifications
- Minimum Vocational High School (SMK) / Diploma (D3) / Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience as a Site Manager, Site Supervisor, Project Manager, or QA/QC in construction, with specific expertise in structural inspection of residential houses and boarding houses.
- Relevant technical or engineering certifications (e.g., SKK Konstruksi).
- Strong background in construction, project supervision, QC/QA, site engineering, or supervisory consultancy is highly prioritized.
- Proven experience in strategic leadership, project oversight, and team management, with the ability to lead regional inspector teams.
- Strong understanding of residential construction standards, NDT tools, working drawings, and construction materials, with the ability to identify building defects and potential risks accurately.
- Able to provide and validate preliminary repair cost estimates based on field findings as a reference for customers.
- Proven ability to build operational systems, standardize workflows for field inspectors, and develop mitigation strategies from field cases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace for team performance analysis and managerial reporting.
- Strong, persuasive communication and leadership skills, with the ability to handle high-level client complaint escalations and negotiations.
- Nice to have: Experience as a Site Manager, Senior Construction QA/QC, Construction Expert, or Interior Consultant.
Responsibilities
- Lead the inspector team, improve the output quality of active inspectors, and develop optimized operational workflows within the inspection division.
- Formulate, evaluate, and continuously update SOPs and inspection standards for PT Inspeksi Rumah Indonesia.
- Act as the final QA/QC gatekeeper, evaluating field team output and ensuring the accuracy of technical reports before they are sent to customers.
- Improve the technical reporting system to minimize client complaints and strengthen customer trust.
- Provide professional technical advice to the Board of Directors, particularly for managerial-level escalations or critical complaints.
- Develop OJT modules, conduct periodic competency evaluations, and run professional development programs for inspectors to maintain service quality standards.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license (SIM C / SIM A) and a personal vehicle for field mobility.
- Willing to conduct on-site inspections and audits as required, including at heights and in confined spaces.
- Willing to work on weekends and public holidays when inspections are scheduled.
- Good physical condition for field work.
