Job description for Cashier at Bali Culinary Pastry School
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Hospitality, Tourism, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Cashier in a fine dining restaurant, luxury hotel, café, or hospitality establishment. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply.
- Proficient in operating POS (Point of Sale) systems and handling various payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, QR payments, and digital wallets.
- Strong numerical accuracy with excellent cash handling and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-oriented mindset.
- Well-groomed, professional appearance, and positive attitude.
- Honest, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia; conversational English is required. Additional foreign language skills are an advantage.
- Willing to be based in Tabanan, Bali.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and provide professional, courteous service throughout the payment process.
- Process guest payments accurately using the POS system.
- Accept and verify payments made by cash, credit/debit cards, QRIS, bank transfers, and other approved payment methods.
- Issue receipts, invoices, and payment confirmations accurately.
- Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and balanced at the end of each shift.
- Perform daily cash float preparation and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with the Restaurant, Bar, Reservations, and Finance teams to ensure billing accuracy.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues promptly and professionally.
- Handle guest inquiries regarding bills, deposits, vouchers, promotions, and payment methods.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of cash, payment devices, and financial documents.
- Assist in preparing daily sales reports and cashier closing reports.
- Ensure the cashier counter and reception area remain clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
