The Captain Floor is responsible for overseeing daily floor operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and leading the service team to maintain high operational standards. This role acts as a bridge between management and floor staff to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily floor operations to ensure efficient service.
- Lead, motivate, and support service staff in delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Ensure all team members comply with company policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, coaching, and feedback as needed.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate daily objectives to the team.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally and promptly.
- Coordinate with the kitchen, cashier, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards throughout the service area.
- Assist in scheduling, staff allocation, and workforce planning.
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are consistently followed.
- Support training and onboarding of new team members.
Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a Captain Floor, Floor Supervisor, or similar role within the F&B or hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and shifts.
