About the Role
We are looking for a highly creative and fast-moving CapCut Video Editor to create engaging, viral-ready content for madebymichael.a, the personal brand of the CEO of madebyhumans.
This role is perfect for someone who understands modern internet culture, pacing, storytelling, and the psychology behind viral short-form content. You will work closely with the CEO to transform raw ideas, shoots, podcasts, events, and daily moments into high-performing social media content.
The ideal candidate is obsessed with content, understands what performs online, and knows how to create videos that retain attention within the first few seconds.

* Behind-the-scenes founder content
* Viral social storytelling
All content will be created in English for a global audience.
Responsibilities
* Edit high-performing short-form videos using CapCut
* Turn raw footage into engaging, viral-ready content
* Create fast-paced edits optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and X
* Add captions, transitions, sound design, motion graphics, memes, hooks, and storytelling elements
* Understand trends, pacing, retention techniques, and platform-native editing styles
* Collaborate directly with the CEO during shoots and content ideation
* Repurpose long-form content into multiple short-form assets
* Organize footage and maintain efficient editing workflows
* Stay updated with social media trends, editing styles, and viral formats
* Experiment with new editing techniques and AI-assisted creative tools
Requirements
* Strong experience editing short-form content using CapCut
* Strong understanding of viral content and audience retention
* Passion for social media, marketing, AI, and internet culture
* Excellent sense of pacing, music, storytelling, and visual hooks
* Ability to independently edit and deliver content quickly
* Familiar with TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and creator trends
* Experience creating content for personal brands is a strong advantage
* Understanding of AI tools for editing/content creation is a plus
* Creative, proactive, detail-oriented, and highly online
Portfolio Requirement (Mandatory)
Portfolio is REQUIRED to apply.
