Job description for CAD Engineer at PT. Vicmay stainless equipment
What you'll be doing
- Create and modify 2D/3D technical drawings for stainless steel production
- Support engineering activities related to stainless steel manufacturing processes and improvements
- Utilise CAD software to create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and models
- Ensure designs adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to project managers and production teams
- Stay up-to-date with the latest CAD technologies, techniques, and best practices
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of CAD processes and design workflows
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- Minimum 1 year experience in stainless steel/metal manufacturing
- Proficient in the use of CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Solidworks
- Strong technical design skills with the ability to interpret engineering requirements and translate them into effective design solutions
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality, accurate technical drawings and models to avoid costly errors
- Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve design-related issues
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- A proactive and adaptable approach to stay ahead of industry trends and continuously improve your skills
- English and/or Mandarin skills is a plus
