About the Role
The Buyer will be responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing and procurement projects, from scope clarification and sourcing strategy through RFx execution, supplier negotiations, contract management and reporting.
This role is particularly suited to procurement professionals with strong experience in CAPEX, OPEX, Professional Services, Machinery/Heavy Equipment procurement and strategic sourcing.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end sourcing projects from scope clarification through contract award.
Develop sourcing strategies, sourcing plans and business cases.
Prepare and execute RFP, RFQ, RFI and other RFx processes.
Conduct e-Sourcing events and manage supplier bidding activities.
Lead supplier and commercial negotiations.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery terms and contractual conditions.
Apply Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) methodology when evaluating sourcing options.
Manage procurement activities across Indonesia.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Work closely with Engineering, Finance, Logistics and other cross-functional teams.
Manage supplier performance, issues and delays.
Identify sourcing and cost-saving opportunities.
Track savings, payment terms, delivery terms and other procurement KPIs.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and global procurement processes.
Maintain sourcing documentation, contracts and procurement reports.
Mandatory Requirements
We are specifically looking for candidates who have:
✅ Minimum 8 years of Procurement / Strategic Sourcing experience
✅ Strong CAPEX procurement experience
✅ Strong OPEX procurement experience
✅ Professional Services procurement experience
✅ Experience procuring Machinery / Heavy Equipment / Industrial Equipment
✅ Hands-on experience with RFP, RFQ and RFx
✅ Proven supplier and commercial negotiation experience
✅ Experience with e-Sourcing / procurement platforms, such as:
SAP Ariba
SAP
Coupa
Zycus
Oracle Procurement
Other equivalent procurement platforms
✅ Hands-on experience in an ERP / procurement system environment
✅ Strategic sourcing and sourcing planning experience
✅ Business case and TCO experience
✅ Contract and supplier management experience
✅ Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience working in a matrix organization is an advantage.
