About the Role
We are looking for a writer with an IT background who can turn a quotation request into a winning business case, in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
When a client asks us for a quotation, they still need to convince their decision-makers to approve the purchase. Your proposal gives them what they need to do that. It accompanies our quotation and explains, in clear business terms, why the solution is worth the investment. It will be forwarded and read without anyone there to explain it, so it must make its case clearly on its own.
This is not a sales role and not a copywriting role. It sits between the two.
What You Will Do
Proposal Writing
- Write persuasive, formal proposals in English and Bahasa Indonesia that accompany our quotations
- Write for two readers at once: the manager who requested the quotation, and the decision-makers they need to convince
- Frame each proposal around the client’s business challenges and the cost of leaving them unsolved, before introducing our products and solutions
- Translate technical solutions (hardware, software, SaaS, managed services) into clear business value that non-technical decision-makers understand
- Tailor content by industry, company, and client need instead of relying on generic templates
Product and Market Knowledge
- Learn our full product and solution portfolio thoroughly, including how it works, its use cases, and its business value
- Understand each client’s situation and industry before writing
- Work with presales and technical teams to make sure every technical claim is accurate
Collaboration and Standards
- Work closely with Sales to understand each client’s request, context, and internal decision process
- Build and maintain a library of reusable proposal structures, value statements, and case references
- Keep tone, quality, and brand presentation consistent across all proposals
AI-Assisted Writing
- Use AI tools for research, structuring, and drafting, with clear and well-constructed prompts
- Critically verify, fact-check, and rewrite AI output. Nothing goes out unchecked
Must-Have Requirements
- IT background: a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or proven experience writing about technology products and solutions
- Solid understanding of how hardware, software, and IT systems work, enough to explain them accurately to both technical and business readers
- Excellent formal business writing in both English and Bahasa Indonesia. You write concisely for busy decision-makers who skim, and you get to the point on the first page
- A genuine passion for writing, shown through a portfolio of work
- At least 3 years of experience in proposal writing, technical writing, B2B copywriting, presales, or IT consulting
- Willingness to master our product knowledge in depth
- Practical AI skills: you know how to give AI context, audience, and constraints, and you judge its answers critically instead of accepting them as they are
Nice-to-Have
- Experience writing for B2B technology, hardware, SaaS, or managed services
- Industry exposure to banking, healthcare, retail, F&B, hospitality, pharmaceutical, or government
- Ability to frame value in business and financial terms, such as cost savings, efficiency, and ROI
- An eye for clean, professional document layout
