Job description for Business Operations Intern at PT Jejak Karya Bumi

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented intern to join our Business Operations team. In this role, you'll act as a key administrator supporting our merchants' day-to-day needs — ensuring smooth operations, building strong relationships, and driving continuous improvements. You'll work closely with our Operations Associate, gaining hands-on exposure to data, operations, and the tools shaping modern business workflows.


What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the day-to-day Merchant Success PIC, building and maintaining strong relationships with merchants.
  • Support merchants' daily operations to ensure seamless processes and business success.
  • Handle merchant onboarding to platforms, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
  • Monitor merchant performance and propose data-driven improvements to enhance efficiency and satisfaction.
  • Manage administrative tasks including invoicing, data entry, and maintaining accurate merchant records.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze operational data to support business decisions and reporting needs.
  • Leverage AI tools to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address merchant needs and continuously improve operational processes.

What We're Looking For:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Management, Communication, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Comfortable working with data — including basic analysis, reporting, and maintaining structured records.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace (Sheets & Docs); experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Open-minded and comfortable using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to improve day-to-day work.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Calm, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Eager to learn, resourceful, and not afraid to take initiative
