About the Role:
On behalf of my client a multinational logistics company, are looking for a results-driven Sales/ Business Development expert with a strong background in freight forwarding and logistics to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of proven experience in sales within the freight forwarding industry and a deep understanding of air, ocean, and land logistics solutions.
This role requires a self-motivated, customer-oriented individual who thrives on meeting targets and building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the freight forwarding industry (Air, Sea, Road).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure high customer retention.
- Understand clients' logistics needs and tailor solutions that meet their supply chain goals.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing in line with company policies.
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Collaborate closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in sales within the freight forwarding/logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of international freight processes (air & sea).
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
