Business Development KOL (Key Opinion Leader) is a position focused on business development through collaboration with influencers or figures with significant influence in social media or a specific industry. KOL plays a crucial role in building relationships between companies and their audiences, as well as expanding the reach of the company's products or services. Below are the details of the tasks and responsibilities of a Business Development KOL:
1. Identifying and Selecting KOLs (KOL USA/China)
- Finding the Right KOL: Identifying KOLs that align with the company's values and goals. This can include KOLs on social media (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter, etc.), bloggers, celebrities, or industry figures.
- Analyzing KOL's Audience: Ensuring that the KOL's audience aligns with the company's target market, so that campaigns can achieve maximum results.
- Assessing KOL Influence: Measuring the influence and credibility of the KOL through metrics such as the number of followers, engagement rate, and the relevance of the content to the company's products or services. 2. Building Relationships with KOLs especially KOL USA / China
- Negotiation and Collaboration: Communicating with KOLs to offer collaboration opportunities, including crafting partnership proposals that are mutually beneficial.
- Building Long-Term Relationships: Focusing not only on a single campaign but also on creating long-term relationships with KOLs to increase loyalty and trust between the company and the KOL.
- Consulting with KOLs: Providing advice and guidance to KOLs on how best to promote the company’s products or services organically and in a manner that suits their audience.
3. Managing KOL Campaigns
- Campaign Strategy: Designing clear strategies and objectives for campaigns involving KOLs to promote the company’s products or services.
- Monitoring Campaign Performance: Ensuring that campaigns run according to plan and measuring their effectiveness. This includes tracking clicks, conversions, and audience feedback.
- Content Coordination: Collaborating with KOLs to create content that will be published, ensuring that it aligns with the brand and engages their audience.
4. Negotiation and Budget Management
- Negotiating Fees and Payments: Negotiating collaboration rates with KOLs, whether it's direct payment, free products, or other forms of partnership.
- Managing Campaign Budget: Overseeing the budget for KOL collaborations, ensuring that the investment made is proportional to the outcomes generated from the campaign.
5. Analysis and Reporting
- Campaign Data Analysis: Using analytics data to assess the impact of campaigns involving KOLs. Metrics analyzed include website traffic, sales, and engagement.
- Performance Reporting: Compiling regular reports on the outcomes of KOL collaborations and providing recommendations for improvements or changes moving forward.
6. Follow-Up and Relationship Maintenance
- Feedback and Evaluation: Collecting feedback from KOLs and audiences regarding completed campaigns to understand what worked and what needs improvement.

- Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing the results of KOL campaigns and providing periodic reports to the management team on performance and ROI.
- Industry Trend Monitoring: Keeping up with trends in influencer marketing and social media platforms to ensure the company remains up-to-date with the latest strategies.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or related fields.
- At least 1 year of experience in Business Development, Influencer Marketing, or Digital Marketing.
- A wide network with KOLs, influencers, or social media on various platforms.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing partnerships with KOLs.
- A good understanding of market trends, social media, and how to leverage KOLs for marketing campaigns.
- Analytical skills and data management to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
