What we are looking for:
We are seeking a Business Development Director, Sales & Marketing, Growth initiator, who will be responsible for setting company sales targets and marketing goals. This individual’s job duties include developing strategic sales goals, consulting with management on the overall monetary health of the agency, obtaining new client contracts, and overseeing the marketing and sales functions.
Partnering with sector leads and internal teams, the Business Development Director will be charged with leading all new business pursuits and should have a proven track record of engaging marketing and sales teams to grow agency revenue.
Job Description:
- Develop and execute strategies to generate new business leads and convert them into clients.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the agency's brand and services to potential clients.
- Create and maintain a sales pipeline to track new business opportunities and monitor progress towards revenue targets.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential clients, target audiences, and industry trends.
- Cultivates business relationships through networking, industry events and outbound marketing
- Forecasts and assesses resources available to determine the scope and duration of new business opportunities
- Collaborate with the creative and account management departments to develop customized proposals and presentations that meet clients' needs and objectives.
- Build relationships with prospective clients, develop sales proposals, and participate in pitch meetings to win new business.
- Manage and maintain the agency's brand and ensure consistency in all communications.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on new business and marketing activities to agency management.
Job Requirements:
- Strategic thinker, successful track record (at least 8+ years) of building business for an agency in advertising (social media content, ATL, BTL, TTL and activation campaigns).
- Proven results in a quota carrying sales role in the Advertising, Digital Marketing or AdTech industry. Experience creating operational structure around sales and marketing functions
- Experience selling in to mid-tier and enterprise clients. Ability to adapt sales strategy to the agency’s evolving service offerings
- Proven experience in building and leading a cross-functional team in the pitch or business development process
- Ability to coach and mentor junior business development and account management team members
- Experience overseeing business development initiatives from initial opportunity all the way through securing client contracts
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
- Advanced knowledge of full-service, integrated advertising solution offerings, including strategy, creative, media, and digital
- Knowledge of CRM is a must
