Job description for Business Development Apprentice at VocaGame
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and gaming-savvy Business Development Apprentice to join our Business Development team. This is a structured apprenticeship focused on identifying, generating, and attracting new leads and potential partners within the gaming industry — including gaming studios, publishers, creators, and platforms. The apprentice will receive hands-on mentorship and progressively take on more ownership of the lead generation and partnership-sourcing process. The ideal candidate is deeply plugged into gaming culture, understands current trends, and is comfortable navigating social media and live-streaming ecosystems to spot opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential leads and partners within the gaming industry (studios, publishers, gaming brands, creator networks, etc.)
- Monitor social media and gaming platforms to spot emerging trends, rising creators, and potential partnership opportunities
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads for the Business Development team
- Track gaming live-streams, content creators, and influencers relevant to the company's target audience
- Conduct outreach (via social media, email, or other channels) to initiate conversations with potential leads/partners
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads and outreach activity in the CRM or tracking system
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to refine lead qualification criteria and outreach strategy
- Prepare periodic summaries/reports on lead generation activity and gaming industry trends
- Participate in regular mentorship/check-in sessions to build skills in outreach, negotiation, and partnership evaluation over the course of the apprenticeship
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a final-semester program in Marketing, Business Management, Digital Business, or a related field
- Strong personal interest in and knowledge of the gaming industry — trends, platforms, and culture
- Familiarity with gaming live streams, content creators, and influencers is highly preferred
- Active and up-to-date awareness of social media trends, with gaming-related trends as a priority
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable with cold outreach and initiating conversations with new contacts
- Self-motivated, curious, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Basic familiarity with spreadsheets/CRM tools is a plus (training will be provided)
Nice to Have
- Personal experience streaming, creating gaming content, or being active in gaming communities (Discord, Twitch, etc.)
- Previous internship or project experience in sales, marketing, or business development
- Basic understanding of partnership/business development processes
