Team Manager – Indonesia (Jakarta)
Australia–Indonesia BRIDGE School Partnerships Program (2026–2027)
Indonesia Australia Language Foundation (IALF) is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead in country delivery of the Australia–Indonesia BRIDGE School Partnerships Program, under contract to Asialink Education at the University of Melbourne.
Based in Jakarta, this role provides leadership for BRIDGE program implementation in Indonesia and manages a team of three Senior Program Officers employed by IALF. The position works in close partnership with the BRIDGE team at Asialink Education, University of Melbourne.
About the role
You will provide leadership, coordination and quality assurance for BRIDGE program activities in Indonesia, supporting schools and educators to build strong, sustainable partnerships with Australian counterparts. The role contributes directly to improved educator capability, strengthened school networks, and impactful public diplomacy outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and manage an IALF employed, Jakarta based team of Senior Program Officers, fostering a collaborative, high performing and values driven team culture.
- Oversee the effective delivery of professional learning, school partnerships, immersions, alumni engagement and public diplomacy activities, ensuring activities align with program objectives and quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong, trust based relationships with Indonesian schools, education authorities and key stakeholders to support sustainable partnerships and program impact.
- Ensure program quality, safeguarding compliance, GEDSI integration and robust risk management across all BRIDGE activities in Indonesia, embedding these principles into planning, delivery, team practices and partner engagement, in line with contractual and donor requirements.
- Lead monitoring, reporting and continuous learning processes for the Indonesia program, working closely with Asialink Education to track outcomes, manage data and risks, contribute to high quality reporting, and use evidence and reflection to inform program improvement.
About you
You will bring:
- Professional proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Proven experience managing teams and delivering education or development programs in Indonesia
- Strong stakeholder engagement and cross cultural communication skills
- Experience working with partners or subcontractors in donor funded programs
- Excellent organisational, leadership and problem solving abilities
