Job description for Bartender at Milk And Madu
As a Bartender / Barista at The Common Uluwatu, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages while providing friendly and professional service to our guests. You will ensure consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency across both the bar and coffee station.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and standards.
- Prepare coffee and other hot and cold beverages with consistent quality and presentation.
- Ensure all drinks are prepared accurately and efficiently according to guest orders.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene of the bar and coffee station.
- Handle and operate barista and bar equipment properly and safely.
- Prepare and maintain ingredients, garnishes, syrups, coffee beans, and other beverage supplies.
- Check the quality and freshness of beverage ingredients before use.
- Assist in monitoring stock levels and report shortages to the Bar Supervisor or Management.
- Follow proper procedures for stock handling, storage, and beverage preparation.
- Handle glassware, bar tools, coffee equipment, and other operational equipment responsibly.
- Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to guests.
- Maintain knowledge of the beverage menu and be able to explain products to guests when required.
- Follow responsible alcohol service practices and company policies.
- Minimize product waste and maintain proper portion control.
- Support the Bar team during busy operational periods.
- Perform other duties related to Bar and Beverage operations as assigned by Management.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Bartender, Barista, or in a similar F&B position.
- Basic knowledge of coffee preparation, cocktails, mocktails, and other beverages.
- Good understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and beverage safety standards.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Friendly, energetic, and guest-oriented personality.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and willingness to learn.
- Honest, responsible, and well-organized.
- Willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Good command of English is an advantage.
