Job Summary
The Bar Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily bar operations, ensuring high-quality service, product consistency, and compliance with operational standards, hygiene, and safety regulations. This role also focuses on leading and developing the bar team to deliver excellent guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Bar Operations
- Supervise daily bar operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Ensure all beverages are prepared and served according to standard recipes and quality guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, equipment, and storage
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, hygiene, and safety standards
Team Management
- Arrange work schedules for bartenders and bar staff
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and post-shift evaluations
- Train, coach, and motivate the bar team
- Ensure professional, friendly, and consistent service standards
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor inventory of beverages, ingredients, and bar equipment
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliation
- Minimize waste and maintain cost control in line with targets
- Coordinate with the purchasing team for operational needs
Guest Experience
- Handle guest complaints related to bar service in a professional manner
- Build and maintain positive relationships with guests
- Ensure service quality aligns with brand standards
Administration & Reporting
- Prepare daily and weekly reports related to bar operations and sales
- Support the Bar Manager in implementing promotions and new menu items
- Ensure compliance with local alcohol regulations and licensing requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma; hospitality or F&B background preferred
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Bartender or Bar Captain
- Strong knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
