About the role
We are seeking a Bar Person to join our dynamic hospitality team in Kuta, Bali. In this role, you will be at the heart of our bar operations, providing exceptional service to our guests whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and presentation. This is a hands-on position that requires someone with energy, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences in a fast-paced bar environment.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests with speed, accuracy and flair
- Taking orders from customers and processing payments using the point-of-sale system
- Maintaining an impeccable appearance and adhering to the dress code and grooming standards required
- Keeping the bar area clean, organised and well-stocked with spirits, mixers, glasses and other essential supplies
- Mixing cocktails and other drinks according to established recipes and customer preferences
- Engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner, building rapport and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to management
- Checking customer identification to verify legal drinking age
- Following all health, safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Assisting with bar setup and breakdown as required
- Contributing to the overall atmosphere and success of the bar through teamwork and positive attitude
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a bar person or in a similar hospitality role within a busy bar or restaurant environment
- Knowledge of bar operations, including cash handling and point-of-sale systems
- Proficiency in mixing and serving a wide range of cocktails and beverages
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact positively with diverse guests and team members
- Physical fitness and stamina to work long shifts on your feet in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- A neat and professional appearance with attention to personal grooming
- Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
- Basic numeracy skills and ability to handle cash accurately
- Certification in responsible service of alcohol or willingness to obtain this qualification
- Fluency in English is desirable
