Job description for Backend Engineer at Keda Tech
We are looking for a highly motivated Backend Engineer to join KeDA Tech. In this role, you will not just write code; you will architect software structures, decide on technology stacks, and guide junior programmers to write performant, maintainable code for various client applications. We value engineers who are framework-agnostic and fundamental-focused. We are less interested in how many tutorials you have followed and more interested in your ability to analyze, debug, and design robust systems from the ground up.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY:
- Analyze requirements and produce technical design documents. You must be able to design code implementations that are scalable and maintainable before writing a single line of code.
- Evaluate and select the best third-party or open-source solutions for the job.
- Develop robust applications and demonstrate a strong command of debugging tools and methodologies to diagnose complex issues efficiently.
- Guide junior engineers to tackle challenging technical problems and conduct rigorous code reviews.
REQUIREMENT:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (S1) in Information Technology
- At least 2 years of programming experience with strong software engineering skills.
- Must be willing to put in the extra effort and time required to bridge the gap between academic theory and the rigorous demands of global software development.
- Deep knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns. Understand how things work under the hood.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to architect solutions rather than just patching bugs.
Technical Proficiency:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Python and AWS.
- Strong debugging skills (beyond simple print debugging).
- Comfortable developing on both Windows and Unix-based systems.
- Continuous Learning: A relentless eagerness to learn new technologies and improve your craft.
PLUS:
- Experience shipping at least 1 complete project.
- Polyglot programming experience (multiple languages/frameworks).
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases and web security.
- Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
